Heritage Christian University (HCU), through its Centre for Entrepreneurship, Philanthropy, and Ethics (CEPE), continues to advance its mission of nurturing ethical and innovative leaders. In a significant step towards this goal, leaders of CEPE recently held a high-level meeting with the management of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to explore areas of potential collaboration.

The meeting, held at the Heritage offices in Accra, provided a platform for both institutions to discuss how they can work together to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and ethical leadership among young people in Ghana, particularly within the university community. The discussions centred on joint initiatives such as entrepreneurship training, start-up challenge, business incubation, mentorship programmes, and access to seed funding for viable student-led businesses.

The leadership of NEIP expressed great enthusiasm about the proposed partnership and affirmed their strong commitment to supporting CEPE’s efforts in shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs. Both parties agreed on the importance of creating practical pathways for students to translate their ideas into sustainable businesses that can contribute to national development.

At the end of the meeting, CEPE and NEIP leaders agreed to formalise their collaboration by working towards the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This MoU will outline the specific areas of cooperation, responsibilities, and mutual expectations to ensure the partnership delivers a tangible impact.

The Director of CEPE, speaking after the meeting, noted, “We are excited about this opportunity to collaborate with NEIP. This partnership aligns with our vision to develop students who are not only academically excellent but are also innovative, ethical, and solution-driven leaders.”

Heritage Christian University remains committed to building impactful partnerships that will empower its students and the broader Ghanaian society.
