Overview
The BSc. Information Security programme is a four-year programme of 8 semesters with the objective to equip graduates with a strong theoretical foundation, technical knowledge and develop them to become ethical entrepreneurs with a touch of philanthropy.

The specific objectives of the program are;
- To equip students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to explain and apply appropriate information security practices and technologies as well as and employ appropriate methodologies to help achieve individual, organizational and societal goa
- To train students to anticipate the changing direction of information security and evaluate and communicate the implications of these changes to an individual or organisation.
- To enable students to understand and, in some cases, contribute to the scientific, mathematical and theoretical foundations on which information security is built.
- To equip students with relevant skills and entrepreneurial support through the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Philanthropy and Ethics (CEPE) to leverage on IT to establish sustainable and ethical businesses.
- To prepare students for advanced knowledge, skills and research at the MSc., MPhil and Ph.D. level
Expected Outcome: Students who successfully graduate from this programme are expected to;
- Have obtained knowledge and skills that will enable them to explain and apply appropriate information security practices and technologies as well as and employ appropriate methodologies to help achieve individual, organisational and societal goal
- Be capable of anticipating the changing direction of information security and evaluate and communicate the implications of these changes to individuals or organisations.
- Understand and possibly contribute to the scientific, mathematical and theoretical foundations on which information security is built. Have obtained relevant skills and values to establish sustainable and ethical businesses or apply these anywhere they find themselves.
