Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology aims to equip graduates with strong and broad skills, knowledge, principles and concepts underpinning mass media and communications. The programme further aims at equipping students with basic tools for analytical thinking, state-of-the-art technology, knowledge and skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, ethics and other critical managerial skills necessary for success in the media industry. The programme aims further to provide students with sound foundation in multimedia studies; to enable them to be globally competent; and to advance their studies in the field.

Learning Outcomes:
The programme aims to cultivate in students a holistic understanding of digital media theory and advanced technical skills that enhance their creativity, innovation, and capacity to solve complex communication challenges. It seeks to develop versatile creators and strategic thinkers who can function in a variety of dynamic career opportunities such as digital content creation, user experience design, interactive development, and media production. The programme also prepares graduates for further studies in computing, design, and media-related disciplines. In addition, the program capitalizes on the strengths of the university, namely, to equip students with innovative problem-solving skills, entrepreneurial know-how, and technical expertise to lead in the digital economy and establish sustainable creative ventures.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will have working understanding and practice of how to:
Design and develop integrated multimedia systems by critically applying principles of graphic design, animation, audio-video production, and interactive programming to create compelling user experiences.
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of digital media solutions within applicable technical, aesthetic, and user-centric contexts, critiquing their impact based on current industry standards and research.
Apply and manage the full multimedia project lifecycle—from concept and storyboarding to prototyping, production, testing, and deployment—both independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Communicate complex technical and creative concepts coherently in professionally competent written form (following project documentation standards) and in effective oral and visual presentations to stakeholders, clients, and team members.
