Heritage Christian University (HCU) successfully hosted its October edition of the 2025 Senior High School (SHS) Career Mentorship Program, offering recent senior high school graduates a lively two-week residential experience designed to prepare them for tertiary education and beyond.
Participants gained hands-on skills in graphic design, web design, entrepreneurship (including soap, bead, and wig making), and journalism and media. The program combined practical training, career coaching, and networking sessions.
Beyond skill-building, the program prioritized personal development. Daily sessions helped students explore career paths, build confidence, and understand the demands of university life. Crucially, there were fun activities like team games, talent nights, campus tours, and group challenges, which kept energy high and encouraged lasting friendships among mentees.
The goal of the program is to equip students not just with technical abilities, but with skills, clarity, purpose, and joy as they step into the next phase of Academic journeys.
The November cohort of the SHS Career Mentorship is scheduled for 1st –15th November 2025 and is open to all SHS graduates.
