Learning Outcomes:

The programme aims to cultivate in students a holistic theological knowledge and practical skills that enhances their spirituality, leadership, and mission to serve communities. It seeks to develop capacities and character that function in a variety of career opportunities such as church leadership and administration, mission, chaplaincy, counseling, and teaching. The programme also prepares graduates for further studies in theologically related disciplines. In addition, the program capitalizes on the strengths of the university, namely, to equip students with innovative problem-solving skills, entrepreneurial know-how, and technical support to lead in addressing social ills and establishing sustainable businesses.

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will have working understanding and practice of how to:

• Interpret biblical texts critically and competently, explaining the meaning of a given text within applicable contexts and its significance in pertinent streams of current research.
• Analyze major and distinctive teachings of the Christian faith and history, critiquing leading perspectives through the centuries regarding core beliefs and practices.
• Apply and evaluate the teachings of the Christian faith into the lives of individuals in a faith community, beginning with oneself.
• Communicate coherently in professionally competent written form (following a standard style guide) and in effective oral form on matters of religion, illuminating historical, theological, and pastoral implications for contemporary societies. 

Students, upon graduation, are equipped and expected to play an active role in catalyzing God-honoring opportunities that benefit their communities and creation.
