Theme: Equipped for Impact
Heritage Christian University has held its 10th Matriculation Ceremony, admitting a new cohort of students into its various academic degrees. The ceremony was held under the theme, “Equipped for Impact: Serving with Firm Conviction and Creative Vision.”

President’s Address: Finish Well
Addressing the matriculants, the President of the University, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, urged them to pursue their academic journey with courage and commitment, emphasizing the importance of completing their studies successfully. Citing Tanzanian marathon runner John Stephen Akhwari, he noted that the true purpose of the journey is not just to begin, but to finish well, assuring students, “See you all at the finish line.”

Guest Speaker: A Divinely Ordained Journey
Guest speaker, Prof. Steve Opoku-Duah, a Paul B. Langford Endowed Professor Chemistry at Lipscomb University, described the students’ admission as divinely ordained rather than a mere academic pursuit. Referencing Ecclesiastes 12:13, he encouraged them to fear God, obey His commandments, and serve humanity. As global citizen, Prof. Opoku-Duah urged students to acquire practical skills, engage in volunteerism, and take advantage of opportunities to serve their communities and churches, noting that skills gained remain invaluable and improve with consistent practice.

A Supportive Ecosystem for Growth
As these students settle into university life and collaborative projects, they are stepping into a supportive ecosystem designed to challenge, equip, and inspire. Heritage’s integrated approach ensures that spiritual growth, academic rigor, and community engagement happen simultaneously and is committed to training compassionate entrepreneurial leaders, equipped for both academic excellence and service to God and society.
