Library Information
- Library patrons are expected to respect the rights of other patrons to use library resources and facilities.
- Library patrons must take care of all library materials, equipment, and property and must not remove such items without proper authorization.
- Disruptive behavior, including verbal abuse, intimidation, or harassment, is strictly prohibited.
- Patrons must respect staff requests to relinquish computers or other equipment for use by another patron.
- The library is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property. Do not leave belongings unattended.
- Damaged or misplaced books/materials will incur a charge of three times the current cost of the book/material.
- Patrons must observe silence in the library. Non-compliance will be reported to the Registrar.
- Eating in the library is strictly prohibited, except for water in spill-proof bottles.
- Library materials that are mutilated or misplaced must be replaced by the patron, with a report sent to the Dean of Students.
- The library is open only to registered members of Heritage Christian College. Unauthorized visitors are not allowed.
- ID cards may be required for admission into the library.
- Stealing library materials will result in suspension and further disciplinary action by the University authority.
- Personal items should be deposited with the Library Assistant at the service desk, at the owner’s risk.
- Mobile phones and noisy electronic gadgets must be switched off or put on silent mode.
- Posters may only be displayed in designated areas with the Librarian’s permission.
- Seats cannot be reserved. Any reserved seat will be cleared for use by others.
- Copyright laws must be observed when requesting photocopies.
- All borrowed materials must be returned by the last day of the semester, or examination results may be withheld.
